Matthew 5:17-20
When somebody's life is involved, every small mark matters.
WHAT IF THE LITTLE THINGS ARE EXACTLY WHAT JESUS EXPECTS US TO NOTICE?
Sin is not just a “somewhere out there: problem; it’s a “inside here” problem.
God provided the cure.
God raised it up.
God made the promise.
As the serpent was lifted up before a dying people, look upon the Son of Man lifted up before a dying world.
The serpent was lifted on a pole -> Jesus would be lifted on a Cross.
Israel could not remove its own poison -> We cannot remove our own sin.
God provided remedy then -> God provides redemption now.
IT IS POSSIBLE TO BELIEVE JESUS IS REAL WITHOUT EVER TRUSTING HIM AS LORD AND SAVIOR.
