Greed
Luke 12:13-34
It’s an excessive desire to acquire more than we need, rather than trusting God to provide. Greed is an endless pit of “want.”
Question: Do you store up things for yourself – or – are you rich toward God?
3 Symptoms of Greed
1. Boasting – “Look at what I’ve got.” (v 18)
2. Worry – “What if I don’t have enough?” (v 17)
3. Hoarding – “I can’t let this go.” (v 18)
How do we kill greed? Contentment & Generosity
The Heart Remedy of Greed
1. Greed loses its grip, when you remember you can’t control your life (vv 22 - 25)
2. Greed loses its grip, when we trust God and live rich towards Him (vv 30-34)
